We are Don and Elaine Wilburn, the founders of W-III Publishing. By the time we founded this company, we were fully immersed in our existing careers. Between the two of us, we share 20+ years military service, 5+ years government service, and 15+ years in the medical device industry. Our experience ranges across leadership, project management, mentorship, quality assurance, program development, training, and lean six sigma. 

We met while serving in the U.S. Navy, and although it is evident to anyone that meets us that ours is a story of opposites attract, our love of country, family, and the power of imagination has kept our union strong over decades.

Through our travels, living abroad, and interacting with people of all different backgrounds and cultures, we have come to appreciate the myriad of perspectives in storytelling. We have seen the power of words in roles we have held in the professional setting, as well as parents and global citizens of the world.

As Gen-Xers, we have fond memories of going to the library and getting lost over the summers in magical worlds. Back then, elaborate vacations weren’t a necessity, just a good plot and characters to root for (or wish ultimate doom upon). Though times have evolved, the enchantment of literature endures.

We believe in the capacity of the “creative” and that everyone serves as a conduit for Words of Wisdom and Wonder to the searching soul.
